Lucas, a charming small town located about three hours away from Kansas City, boasts a variety of distinct attractions.
First, it’s home to the Garden of Eden, a fascinating sculpture garden created by Civil War Veteran Samuel P. Dinsmoor.
Then there’s the Deeble House and Rock Garden, also known as the Garden of Isis, which features numerous sculptures made out of recycled materials on the interior and miniature postcard scenes made from rocks and cement on the outside.
Next, there’s the town’s famous public restroom known as Bowl Plaza. The front of the building is shaped like a toilet tank, while a toilet lid decorated with mosaics frames the entrance. A wall in the shape of a giant toilet paper roll also runs along the edge of the property.
This is just a small sample of the oddities you’ll find in this strange little town. If you’re curious to find out more, check out our list below of everything else Lucas has to offer.
