Founded in 1641 under the name “Kings Towne”, this significant town was later divided into North and South Kingstown.
Today, North Kingstown is home to a number of attractions, including the enchanting Wickford Village with its dozens of charming shops and first-rate eateries.
It’s also recognized as the birthplace of Gilbert Stuart, the renowned portraitist who painted the image of George Washington that is printed on all the U.S. one-dollar bills.
