Despite having not many tourist spots, Groves is perfect for a quiet weekend getaway.
There’s not much to do here besides taking a stroll around the downtown area, where you can do some shopping and grab a bite to eat at one of the dozen or so restaurants and cafés around town.
However, if you are in the mood for some sightseeing and don’t mind travelling a bit, Groves is not too far from several fascinating attractions.
Most notable of these is the Dutch Windmill Museum in the nearby town of Nederland, which houses two floors of items from Holland and memorabilia from the late country and western music star, Tex Ritter, who hailed from there.
Another interesting attraction in the vicinity is the Texas Artists Museum, which houses a noteworthy collection of artworks by local artists in various mediums.
